Contemporary glow

Situated on the Ljubljanic river, in an old building with vaulted ceilings and arched windows is this inviting refuge.  The beautiful copper pendants descend from the ceiling to illuminate the warm timber surfaces below, giving Cafeteria Rog an elegant glow.  Architects AKSL arhitekti d.o.o gave life to the owner's brief for a place that would be inviting to both locals and tourists, serving the best coffee and staying open into the evening.  The mysterious contrast of dark and glow through timber, copper, leather and glass, gives this space its ambience of contemporary history.

  1. Argh, those tim dixon lights. And those chairs, what do you think they are covered in, looks like strange glitter leather?
