Gubbins House

This home in Cape Town exudes classic elegance through its clean lines, bold horizontals, use of glass walls and framed views.  Designed by Cape Town based, Chile-born Antonio Zaninovic,  this project is another in his portfolio of beautiful contemporary homes.  Well published internationally, Gubbins House won an American Society of Landscape Architects - 2010 Honour award in the design category. This sustainable house is made of local materials, has heat repellent glass and natural cross ventilation amongst other characteristics.  Zaninovic's use of shadow, light, floating overhangs and slit windows, are what give this property its contemporary character.  Click here for more pictures from his website...
