south american

Well, I am a new fan of the work of the Mexican Elias Rizo Arquitectos.   This renovation of an old house, Casa Ro, has left a contemporary dwelling, wrapped horizontally in timber screens with simple lines and a bold pallet of dark materials offset by a few carefully chosen pieces of furniture.   The timber panels continue through the interior, visually unifying the façade with the internal spaces.   I could not find any 'before' pictures, but the 'after' is certainly worth looking at.  I have seen a few of their works in the last few days, and so will be featuring another of their projects soon.
