volume 34 maps

I have grown up in a family that loves maps, whether is be exploring places we've been and those we'de like to go, I can never tire of looking at them. This weekend I borrowed an 1897 Encyclopaedia Britannica Maps from my folks.  The maps in there are from before any of the major world wars, and certainly before anyone alive today can remember. They are just gorgeous with their hand coloured detail.  Street view does have its benefits, but I wouldn't trade these for the world (excuse the pun).  Now, do I really have to return this volume?

  1. Gorgeous books. Who can still be thinking that Encyclopaedia Brittanica is outdated.
