glamping

Tomorrow sees the start of a long weekend in our corner of the world.  With a lot of people setting off for a short break, this airstream trailer is a glam alternative for the weekend.  A fabulous mix of stripes, diagonals and prints.  Designed by Rachel Horn for her trip to the burning man festival in Nevada.  Found here

In search of a contemporary minimalist delight this morning I turned to one of my favourites, John Pawson.  Enjoy!

under the covers

That's where I would love to be today.  Its chilly and overcast, with a thin little breeze about.  Now would be a perfect time to flee to the bedroom and spend the whole day hibernating.

keeping it simple

I seem to spend a lot of time lately looking at apartments.  Now this is one that I could live in.  Simple, with all the right bones...wooden floors, large windows, monotone furnishings and a good dose of old fashioned character.  Found via Anna

THE

A fresh gem to get Tuesday going.  This contemporary home in Luxenbourg is created using simple volumes projected to sculpt spaces within and surrounding the house.  Clean lines and simple detail abound.  n-lab architectsvia

eden

You would be forgiven for thinking that this hotel lies a lot further north, whilst in reality it is nestled in Italy.  The designers were definitely channelling Scandinavian style with the wood panelling, furs and choice of finishes and tones.  More of this I say!  But it does look like a great place to rest your weary body after a day on the slopes, sipping steaming gluhwein in those fur lined chairs...
