I can say, with all honesty, that this has been my favourite project to work on, ever. What a privilege it has been to be part of this dream...The journey to today started 2 years ago when Zane Figueiredo gave up a comfortable IT career. Doing what so many of us aren't brave enough to do, he pursued his lifelong dream and went back to study at Prue Leith chef school full time. After qualifying he spent a year working at the award wining Test kitchen and Pot Luck Club, in Cape Town under Luke Dale Roberts, before returning to Pretoria. Kudos to his wife Liz, who has supported him through all of this. From all the tasters I got to enjoy over the last week, foodies everywhere will be grateful for all you have done. Zane, thanks for trusting us enough to let us get on with the design unhindered. Thank you to everyone who worked on the project, the fabulous team that I worked with on site, Rui for the awesome poster! and lastly a huge thank you to Mia of Studio Number 19 for all you did, being my invaluable sounding board, designing those fabulous lights, and always being full of great ideas. Here's to many more projects like this one! Hope you will all pop into Ginger and Fig, meet Zane and enjoy a good meal. A few pictures taken yesterday during the installation...

It's always surreal to see your own work in the press. While not a huge self-promoter by nature, it certainly takes a little getting used to telling everyone what it is that you do, and trying to sound intelligent while you are at it. A great team makes it easier, it was a lot of fun shooting this feature, Elsa and Mila are just fabulous to work with. So here we are, in full colour, to be paged through in the March issue of Property Junction. Thank you again for the kind feature.

As I'm a follower of the 'do more of what you love' movement, this new Swedish design collaboration is just my kind of mix of design, architecture, styling and photography. Found via Est Magazine. Visit the love warriors
